Battle for Baghdad (2007)

"Four years after the invasion of Iraq, American troops battle it out with insurgents on Haifa Street in downtown Baghdad … paying the price for four years of military and political miscalculations.

In a last desperate gamble to save what many see as a losing war, a ‘surge' of over 25,000 extra troops are being rushed to Baghdad … Lose the Battle for Baghdad, and you lose Iraq.

This is the story of what went wrong … how America got trapped on these streets…as told by some of the top commanders in the war and the New York Times correspondents who are covering it"

if you go to war people die get maimed and usually th wrong ones suffer but you cant use an army of trained killers and expect the worst offence to be singing too loudly in church. If our children were dying we would react like iraqis and like it or not we are the invaders so by definition in the wrong. personally i support our troops but not the leaders of our country who have ***ed up what could have been an noble and worthy exercise. peace brothers and sisters.

Hey you people. your government were supposed to be helping the people of Iraq so how come the people are now worse of than when they were under Sadam's rule ? How come the people hate Americans ? How come they have no water no electricity and no hospitals or schools since the americans came ? You people talk about kicking ass yet you are killing innocent people, people whose only means of escape is a donkey. What have those people done to you - NOTHING. You Yanks are nothing but bully boys. You are out there fighting and dying so Bush and his cronies can make millions while your own people cant even get hospital treatment in the U.S.

seppl, you lost me with ; 'you sir killed vietnamese people that didnt have anything to do with the US' Perhaps English is not your first language. Prose aside, I'm not sure if you are aware, but there was a shooting war going on. That usually entails the belligerents trying their hardest to kill each other. If war veterans are murderers we would need a lot more prisons to hold these 'murderers' Try thinking before typing next time kiddo

Yea, they did the same mistake as in Vietnam: they started the war.
You Sir killed vietnamese people that didnt have anything to do with the US. You're a murderer.

Being an Air Force veteran from the Vietnam era, I see the same mistakes being made by politicians ignoring the military needs and suggestions. I love to blame democrats, but the republicans can share in their stupidity as well. Overall, I'd rather we kill terrorist's on their soil, than fighting them in US city streets. But, it could still come to that one day, I just hope we can keep them in the middle east and off American soil.
