And anyone objectively studies history -- minus all the patriotic music and other classic "propaganda" elements that Bob astutely observes are contained in this film -- and cannot come to the conclusion that the Allies were the good guys, is indeed (apologies to Apl and Bob) an idiot. Larry just because your father fought in the war does not make your family an expect on knowing what the axis police state is. Bob, you are an idiot. You don't even know what a fascist is. You don't know what a police state is. My own father spent 14 months on Guadalcanal and shipped out a second time to Eniwetok Atoll. He finished the war with 40% disability. My family knows the difference between the US and the Axis police states. This is a good example of American fascism in World War Two. It has all of the essences that fascist films should have including pride of arms, a sense of righteousness, and sadness at finding dead soldiers.
