Are you kidding? it's by much the best film of its era, and alongside Sunrise of Murnau the only 20's films to appear in the Sight and Sound's top ten critics poll of t he BFI.
And it's not communist propaganda, it even was censored and mutilated by Lenin. the movie follows deeper feelings and express universal sufferings rather than legitimate a temporal nation's government like the communist party

A classic movie, about revolution and the suffering of common men, that changed the whole filmindustri. A must see to al aspiring filmmakers and movie- lovers. 10/10
