The Great African Scandal (2007)

"In this thought-provoking documentary, made with the help of Christian Aid, academic Robert Beckford undertakes a challenging, emotional journey to Ghana in West Africa. This is where, two centuries ago, Robert Beckford’s ancestors were seized and taken as slaves to Jamaica. Now he is making a journey to the land of his roots to discover the hidden costs of rice, chocolate and gold."

This was a very informative and emotional documentary! Now that I know about fair trade products, I'll be sure to purchase them over ones where child labour may have been involved. I found a site about fair trade products in Canada and learned there are fair trade towns in Canada, and the first one was in my province. It seems to be more choice over policy though, which I beleive should change. There should only be fair trade products.

Over the years this has been the game plan for western world to feed on Africa. After we discover their vice what are we putting in place to stop such a horrific atrocity . I am not disputing any of these facts. We have a responsibility to do something for our fellow brothers, sisters both young and old. How:? you have a massage congregate your audience and preach to them . It may not make sense at initial stage but with time they will get it and pass it on. The most important legacy one can leave for his generation is to sacrifice to establish an important invention and become a bridge between the old generation and new generation. I will do my part you also have to do your part.
