At the end of the film the officer said he will retire and someone will take his place. The same with the criminal element. Abyss is right Chris, a mindless cycle.
Are police given psychiatric evaluations every 5 years or something? This type of work day in and day out seems like it would haunt someone. Always having to be "on", getting "use to it", "numb". Some police actually snap and become what they are trying to stop... that is truly scary right there.

I see this as problem - reaction - solution at its best. Talk about being trapped in the matrix. As this sort of condition escalates, we get Iraq, or Somalia, or America (?). It is a war zone... a carefully planned one, using drugs and money as an economic weapon... The government makes all the money via prisons, courts, jails...they are private corporations. It is an economic scheme. Humanity can detach from the matrix. It is a choice, it is hidden in knowing who you are and understanding sovereignty . .

"What kind of question is that?!" Hilarious. This British guy is walking around with a bullet-proof vest, his scarf tied like an ascot, and asking such stupid questions that I couldn't tell if he was a comedian pretending to be a reporter or not. He gives you the sense that he wants everybody to be scandalous so he'll have a racy story to report. But he doesn't manage to uncover anything but the obvious, all the while acting like it's breaking news. I guess he's kind of like a British Geraldo Rivera. Limey, you can't just walk around like a freak with a camera and expect people to open up to you because you ask them stupid questions that you already know the answer to.

This is really what one calls "the trap." It is apparent how little can be done on a small scale to stop crime and violence. This is not a case where legalizing marijuana will solve crime issues. Of course, I believe it would help in many places, but here, the deep is an abyss.
