The Road to Guantanamo (2006)

"In 2001, four Pakistani Britons, Ruhal Ahmed, Asif Iqbal and Shafiq Rasul and another friend, Monir, travel to Pakistan for a wedding and in a urge of idealism, decide to see the situation of war torn Afganistan which is being bombed by the American forces in retaliation for the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Once there, with the loss of Monir in the wartime chaos, they are captured by Northern Alliance fighters. They are then handed them over the American forces who transport them to the prison camps at the Guantanamo Bay base in Cuba. What follows is three years of relentless imprisonment, interrogations and torture to make them submit to blatantly wrong confessions to being terrorists. In the midst of this abuse, the three struggle to keep their spirits up in that face of this grave injustice." -imdb.com

wow. this is so emotian and shocking. it made me want to cry. it makes you think about how the american military treat these suspected 'terriouts' and there not, they get a random guy who is MUSLIM and has a beard and detain them. one day all this injustice wil be over.

INTERESTING POINT OF VIEW.....NOT A DOCUMENTARY THOUGH ...SO HOW MUCH IS ACURATE AND HOW MUCH IS POETIC WRITING OF A GOOD SCRIPT. WOULD BE INTERESTING IF THEY HAD INTERVIEWS ATTACHED AT THE END WITH THE REAL PEOPLE SO WE WOULD HAVE SOME CLUE.

Wow, I was impressed, no not really. Impressive that people whine about the use of torture, but people forget that its in the interest of the population that nasty means become justifialble. The case in a nutshell is that, if you convince people about a lie/truth is, that they will do just in the movie called "The Wave" - an experiment performed at Berkley university california, which had to be stopped due to the uncontrolled effects it had on the participant. Kinda reminds of the country I live in, only its more sick and depraved and like in good old Nazi germany, people adopt and get used to be campguards, some even tend to evolve into even sicker slimes, once they are convinced they are "right" in their disturbed vision on the world. It has peaked to the highest levels, so the result is: When they do it, we can all do it, and if noone says stop, then it must be okay. So if the MS13 is killing people and cops arent stopping them, then it must be alright then. That kinda logic. They still dont get it.
