Spin (1995)

"Artist Brian Springer spent a year scouring the airwaves with a satellite dish grabbing back channel news feeds not intended for public consumption. The result of his research is SPIN, one of the most insightful films ever made about the mechanics of how television is used as a tool of social control to distort and limit the American public's perception of reality.

Take the time to watch it from beginning to end and you'll never look at TV reporting the same again. Tell your friends about it. This extraordinary film released in the early 1990s is almost completely unknown. Hopefully, the Internet will change that. " -brasscheck.com

It's kind of scary (and funny) to think that FOX NEWS CHANNEL is attempting to do the exact same thing to RON PAUL (R), by trying to exclude and ignore him as if he wasn't even running for president, just as this film exposes how the media practically wiped out a former candidate from the presidential campaign back in the early 90's.

Re: There is no such thing as a "back channel news feed not intended for public consumption."
You obviously misinterpreted the statement at hand, and didn't comprehend the simple nature of what was being said. And if you would have just taken the time to actually watch the film, before attempting to pass judgement about the context of this posting, you might have come away with a better understanding.
My case in point:
Artist Brian Springer spent a year scouring the airwaves with a satellite dish "grabbing back" (in other words, RECORDING) "channel news feeds" (in other words, NEWS CHANNELS VIA SATELITE) "not intended for public consumption" (in other words, NOT VIEWED BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC).
'Nuff Said.
GREAT DOCUMENTRY NONETHELESS!

There is no such thing as a "back channel news feed not intended for public consumption." A news feed may be raw footage, that might get edited into a package for a newscast, but there doesnt exist some kind of "journalist only" channel where they all talk to eachother and tell the truth.
